The Perfect Plan
Stepbrothers Josh Stevens and Alex Gates find themselves at their usual diner one Saturday morning. Over breakfast, they reflect on their prior evening out, where they had tried, and failed, to come up with the perfect plan to get laid. While Josh wants to continue working on it, Alex is immediately dismissive. His assertion that he wouldn't need to worry about creating such plans if only he were a movie star gets the two of them into an argument over what would work better: being a famous actor or the behind the scenes use of the casting couch. As they leave the diner, Josh taunts Alex that he will probably continue to work on the plan alone, perhaps something involving the casting couch. Alex, taking that cue, suddenly has the perfect plan: that they make a movie for the sole purpose of getting laid. Josh, immediately skeptical, ultimately relents under Alex's pressure.Later that evening they hang out at Josh's and discuss a variety of options (indie vs. studio, getting a script and plot options) as the night progresses and the drinking continues. Josh, initially skeptical of his step-brother's intentions, is soon brought on board. At the diner the next morning Alex suddenly dismisses their idea as all hassle without the immediate payoff he craves. Josh is clearly angry, but Alex has a new idea: forgoing the movie and just holding auditions whenever they want to get laid. Josh resists, which leads Alex to issue a final ultimatum.
