Rosa, a young girl, sells roses on the streets of a vast Latin American City. Her father has disappeared and her mother has moved in with another man. Equipped with a torn photograph of her dad, Rosa descends on a quest to find her beloved father Most of the film takes place on New Years Eve. Rosas memories of a happy life together with her father on the farm where she grow up is intertwined with her selling flowers and searching for her beloved dad in the dirty and dangerous streets of a metropolis. As the New Year approaches and we find out more and more about Rosa, her prospects of finding her father look increasingly dim.
