29th Annual
Breckenridge Festival of Film
June 11 - 14, 2009
Independent filmmakers are invited to submit their productions for selection to screen at the 29th annual Breckenridge Festival of Film June 5 - 8, 2008 in Breckenridge, Colorado.
ENTRY GUIDELINES:
The CALL will be closed after March 30, 2009.
Independent films will be accepted if they meet the following criteria:
- Completed between January 1, 2008 and March 30, 2009.
- NOT accepted for distribution or telecast prior to January 1, 2008
Training films or industrial films are not accepted.
SCREENING FORMATS:
DVD only
CATEGORIES :
Films will be selected in seven categories (regardless of whether filmmaker is student or professional):
- Drama
- Comedy
- Documentary
- Short Drama (30 minutes or less)
- Short Comedy (30 minutes or less)
- GLBT (Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender)
- Spiritual *New in 2007
- Latin *New in 2008
AWARDS:
First place honors will be given in each category.

*Best Director *Best Actor *Best Actress *Best Screenplay or Adaptation

FILMMAKER BENEFITS: All filmmakers are encouraged to attend the Festival and special events.
Filmmakers will receive Festival passes that will provide free entry to all events and films.

Filmmakers may submit more than one film but each film must be accompanied by its own entry form (photocopies accepted) and entry fee.

- 2 Copies of your film in DVD
- Completed Entry Form (May be completed on line or printed from the Film Festival Website: www.breckfilmfest.com)
- Check for appropriate fee made out to Breckenridge Festival of Film
- Synopsis of 100 words or less & credit list

RETURN OF ACCEPTED FILMS:
All films screened during Breckenridge Festival of Film (BFF) will be returned if a self-addressed stamped envelope is provided by Filmmaker.
PRESS & PUBLICITY INFORMATION:
Include a synopsis and credit list with each entry. If your film is accepted , we will require an electronic copy of the synopsis with a 300-600 dpi JPEG or TIF black and white photo from your film not to exceed 3" x 3" in size preferably by e-mail to info@breckfilmfest.com . BFF reserves the right to use selected films for publicity and/or fund-raising events for the Festival.
BRECKENRIDGE FESTIVAL OF FILM ARCHIVE:
Filmmakers of accepted productions will provide a DVD copy of their film for permanent retention by BFF. This archive is an internal, non-circulating library and entries will not be reproduced, sold or distributed in any way.
ACCEPTANCE OF RULES:
Submitting a signed entry form constitutes full acceptance of the BFF rules outlined herein and on the entry form. BFF reserves the right to decide all questions not specifically addressed.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED BY March 30th, 2009. If you would like confirmation that your entry has been received, please include a self- addressed, stamped postcard. If you would like the DVD copy returned to you, please also include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the name of the film and sufficient postage for the copy.
